Desert Sun
30 x 40

Not an experiment in anything really, just an idea that was floating about in my head and would not leave until I brought it into existence.

Op Art 4

An experiment in depth perception.  See my statement for more details.
Exegesis

An experiment in depth perception using contrasting colors and texture.

Terra Nova - available up to 30" x 40"

Terra Nova
30 x 40

The most interesting aspect of this work is that some people (mainly myself) see a fish in it, while others see the head of a duck.  Neither was intentional.  But seeing objects in one of my abstract works is like seeing objects in the clouds:  the object is not there intentionally, and its appearance is more a reflection of the workings of the viewer's mind more than anything else.  I wonder what psychologists or dream interpreters would make of the fact that some people see a fish here while others see a duck.

Sunset over the Rain Forest
30 x 40
Untitled-3 - available up to 16" x 20"
Untitled-3
16 x 20

This was an experiment in perception using sharp vs. blurry edges.

womb - available up to 16" x 20"

Womb
16 x 20

An experiment in depth perception using light and dark tones, the resemblance to a fetus in a womb was intentional.  However, because it was emotionally provocative, I left it as it was.
